When it comes to matters of the heart, many of us end up floundering for rather baffling reasons. We put in too much effort in what are clearly the wrong focus areas – maybe overemphasis on our looks, the cars we drive, the clothes we wear, and so on.
In matters of relationships, it has in fact been noted that personality aspects such as confidence truly work wonders when it comes to striking a chord with the person you're trying to impress, no matter how bad you think you look.
Eventually, if you are able to strike up conversations with ease and also handle a variety of situations in the presence of the opposite sex, with complete deftness, then you can in fact be reasonably certain of hitting the home run with the person you have laid your eyes on.
Take the case of meeting a stranger, say at a London nightclub, perhaps at the time of any of the various New Years Eve parties in London. You are probably already dressed well enough for the occasion and so your attire should really not be a matter of concern for you. Further, your looks are what you already possess and probably cannot do much about, other than making the most of it. Therefore, in such a scenario, if you are looking to strike the right notes with other people, then what you really need is oodles of confidence; if you are able to strike up an intelligent conversation and get the ball rolling, you never know till where things lead up to!

Let us take another hypothetical example wherein at a New Year party in any of the various nightclubs in London, a complete stranger takes a fancy for you who in turn also asks you for a dance. Now, even if you know for a fact that you cannot differentiate your left foot from the right one and therefore grooving is not really your cup of tea, go ahead and just shake your leg with confidence; chances are good that unless your prospect is an expert dancer, he or she would not even notice your dancing steps.
Thus, in summation, if you are looking for a vivid experience with a new partner – one which you would really like to cherish for long -- make sure you up the ante to the fullest, as far as your own confidence levels are concerned.
